Class Participation
and Attendance:
Students’
participation is actively sought and rewarded.
Each student is expected to read the assigned Lectures before class,
work out the problems, and be ready to answer questions in class. Furthermore, all students are encouraged to spark
discussions, raise concerns, and bring and share material and information other
than that covered in class. Attendance
is of crucial importance. Please notify
me of your potential absence as early as possible by either leaving a message
or sending me an email.
Readings &
Homework:
Assigned
Lectures must be read before the class. Completion of the assignments should
strengthen your understanding of the material. As you complete your homework/assignments,
be sure to let me know if you find a problem particularly challenging.
Assignment and
Presentation:Social science part (Group assignment): A Social Issue in
Bangladesh, Accounting Part (Individual assignment): A case study

deadline. Late submission

circumstance.
Instruction for group assignment:
This
is a team effort. While the assignment is to be turned in at the end of the semester,
it is in your best interest suggested that sections be completed as
corresponding topics are covered in class. You will each select a social issue
in Bangladesh. Then, your research needs to include the following.
- Define the issue/problem properly
- Motivation/Why is the issue really important?
- What are the reasons or causes of this?
- What can be done to solve this?
- Try to argue with the help of reliable data
- Conclusions
- References (Try to follow APA referencing style)
Instruction for
individual assignment:
This
assignment must be done individually. Assignment topic will be discussed
broadly in the class. Plagiarism will
not be tolerated.
