Class Participation and Attendance:
Students’ participation is actively sought and rewarded.  Each student is expected to read the assigned Lectures before class, work out the problems, and be ready to answer questions in class.  Furthermore, all students are encouraged to spark discussions, raise concerns, and bring and share material and information other than that covered in class.  Attendance is of crucial importance.  Please notify me of your potential absence as early as possible by either leaving a message or sending me an email.
Readings & Homework: 
Assigned Lectures must be read before the class. Completion of the assignments should strengthen your understanding of the material. As you complete your homework/assignments, be sure to let me know if you find a problem particularly challenging.

Assignment and Presentation:Social science part (Group assignment): A Social Issue in Bangladesh, Accounting Part (Individual assignment): A case study
World Limit: Maximum 1000-1500 words
Formatting:Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12, double spaced and properly tabulated
Submission Date:You have to submit a hard copy with the title page including group member names and id one week before the submission deadline. Late submission is not accepted unless taking prior permission in an extra-ordinary circumstance.
Instruction for group assignment:
This is a team effort. While the assignment is to be turned in at the end of the semester, it is in your best interest suggested that sections be completed as corresponding topics are covered in class. You will each select a social issue in Bangladesh. Then, your research needs to include the following.
  1. Define the issue/problem properly 
  2.    Motivation/Why is the issue really important?
  3.   What are the reasons or causes of this?
  4.   What can be done to solve this?
  5.   Try to argue with the help of reliable data
  6. Conclusions 
  7.    References (Try to follow APA referencing style)
Instruction for individual assignment:
This assignment must be done individually. Assignment topic will be discussed broadly in the class. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.

Note: Please maintain the standard of your English writing. Topics may include but not limited to: population, Inequality or poverty, education, rise of extremism, cultural aggression, etc…
